Shooting at warehouse parking lot seriously injures 2 men in Fort Worth, police say

A fight between employees in a parking lot turned into a shooting that left two men seriously wounded Monday morning, Fort Worth police said.

It wasn’t immediately known if any suspects were in custody.

Two men suffered gunshot wounds and they were in serious condition, according to a MedStar spokesman.

Fort Worth patrol officers responded to the shooting just before 7 a.m. in the 5800 block of Kroger Drive at a warehouse.

A caller reported four shots were fired coming from an employee parking lot, according to a police call log.

When they arrived, police determined there had been an altercation between employees who were off work and shots were fired.

Two men were hit by gunfire, police said. The men were taken to a local hospital.

The warehouse is owned and operated by Penske, but Kroger works with Penske as they supply groceries to Kroger stores in North Texas, an official said.

“We are saddened by this incident,” said April Martin, corporate affairs manager at Kroger Dallas Division, in a Monday email.

No further details were immediately available.
