17-year-old girl shot, killed near Fort Worth-area pharmacy

A 17-year-old girl was shot and killed Saturday night near a Bedford pharmacy, according to news reports.

The name of the victim had not been released by authorities as of Sunday.

Bedford police also have not released any other details on the fatal shooting.

Bedford police responded to a shots-fired call shortly after 6 p.m. Saturday at a CVS pharmacy at 601 N. Industrial Blvd.

The teenage girl was found in the area with a gunshot wound to her chest, according to WFAA-TV.

She was taken to a local hospital, where she died.

No information has been released about a motive or a suspect in the shooting.
