Victim in fatal Hurst shooting identified as 34-year-old Fort Worth man
A Fort Worth man has been identified as the victim shot to death in a Hurst apartment over the weekend, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office website on Monday.
A man was arrested in connection with the Saturday night fatal shooting at the Whispering Run Apartments in Hurst.
The victim has been identified as Jesse Aleman Renderos, 34, of Fort Worth, according to officials with the medical examiner’s office. A ruling on his death is pending an autopsy.
Authorities listed his time of death as 9:10 p.m. Saturday and said he died in the living room of a Hurst apartment.
Hurst police have released no information on a motive for the shooting.
Police responded to the shooting call Saturday night in the 600 block of Bellaire Drive in Hurst.
When they arrived, Hurst police were told a man had been shot in an apartment and the shooter fled to an adjacent apartment.
Hurst police said they negotiated with the suspect and he later surrendered.
Police identified the suspect as Jimmy Alexander Rodriguez, 23, of Hurst. He was in the Hurst Jail on Monday and faces a charge of murder in the case.
