Man shot in torso in west Fort Worth Friday night, police say; suspect is at large
A man was shot in the torso in west Fort Worth on Friday night and police say the suspect is at large.
The man’s injuries were not life-threatening, police said.
Officers responded to a reported shooting in the 8000 block of West Elizabeth Lane around 9:15 p.m. Friday. They determined the man had been shot inside a nearby residence, police said, before fleeing on foot and collapsing at the reported location. He was in front of an apartment complex.
He was transported to a hospital.
Details of the incident and what precipitated it are still under investigation, police said.
The criminal investigations detective covering West Fort Worth has been notified.
