A man was stable at a hospital after he was shot Wednesday night inside a vehicle in east Fort Worth, police said.

The victim was shot about 6:30 p.m. near a Taco Bell restaurant in the 1200 block of Oakland Boulevard, Fort Worth police said.

The victim, whose age police did not release Wednesday night, got into the assailant’s vehicle and was shot in the head, police said.

The assailant left the scene, and police had not reported his arrest late Wednesday. Real Time Crime Center cameras recorded the assailant and his vehicle, police said.
