Man shot, wounded during carjacking in Fort Worth neighborhood

A man was shot twice by carjackers who fired at him early Wednesday after they demanded money, Fort Worth police said.

The suspects stole the man’s vehicle and fled the scene.

The victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, Fort Worth police said.

Fort Worth police responded to the shooting call about 3 a.m. in the 4700 block of Norma St.

The victim was dropping off another person at the location when two men walked up to him and asked for money at gunpoint.

At some point, the carjackers shot the victim.

Robbery detectives are investigating the case.
