Car passenger shoots toward 3 men in south Fort Worth, striking 1 in back, police say
Two men inside of a car pulled up on three other men walking away from a south Fort Worth convenience store Monday night, exchanging words with them before the passenger fired a round, police said.
One of the pedestrians was shot in the back. He was transported to a hospital, where he is in stable condition, a police spokesperson said in an email Tuesday.
The suspects, whose identities weren’t known as of Tuesday morning, have not been arrested.
Units responded to the shooting call in the 4200 block of Anita Avenue around 10:55 p.m., police said. An investigation revealed three men had been walking away from a convenience store in the 3500 block of West Seminary Drive when the two men in the car approached them and began to speak to them.
Police couldn’t say what the two parties said to each other, or if they knew each other. But the passenger pulled out a gun and fired one shot, striking the victim, police said.
The suspects fled the scene.
