Juvenile arrested in Memorial Day shooting death of Dallas hospital marketing director
A juvenile was in custody Thursday, accused in the shooting death of a Dallas hospital marketing director who was found in a car outside her home on Memorial Day.
The juvenile suspect was arrested Wednesday and faces a charge of delinquent conduct/capital murder in the killing of 59-year-old Leslie S. Baker of Dallas, police said.
Baker had been the marketing director of Texas Health Center for Diagnostics and Surgery since 2007, according to WFAA-TV.
The suspect was in the Dallas County Juvenile Detention Center on Thursday.
Baker was found in the car outside of her Preston Hollow home in Dallas on Monday afternoon, police said.
Dallas police responded to a shooting call about 5 p.m. Monday in the 6100 block of Royalton Drive.
Baker was found sitting in the driver seat of a black sedan with an apparent gunshot wound.
Dallas police pulled Baker out of the car and performed first aid before paramedics arrived. She was taken to a local hospital, where she was pronounce dead.
Dallas police have not released any details on a motive for the shooting or further information on the juvenile.
