Man accused of killing wife, stepson at their Fort Worth-area home, then calling 911

A Grand Prairie man is accused of shooting his wife and adult stepson to death at their Grand Prairie home Sunday afternoon during a domestic dispute, police said.

Rickey Edwards called 911 and said his wife and stepson had been shot, Grand Prairie police said.

Edwards, 50, is accused of killing them during a family violence incident.

Police did not release any information on what prompted the domestic dispute.

Edwards was arrested Sunday and faces a charge of capital murder.

Grand Prairie police identified those who died as 46-year-old Portia Williams and 28-year-old Kameion Kitchen.

Grand Prairie police responded to the shooting call about 4 p.m. Sunday in the 7000 block of Monet Lane.

Patrol officers arrived and found Williams and Kitchen dead with apparent gunshot wounds.

Grand Prairie is east of Fort Worth and Arlington and just west of Dallas.
