Suspect booked on suspicion of murder in south Fort Worth killing

A man was arrested Saturday on suspicion of murder in a south Fort Worth killing, according to a police booking record.

Reynaldo Garcia, 35, was jailed in connection with the killing of Reynaldo Garcia Jr., 63. A Fort Worth police spokesman declined to describe the exact relationship between the victim and suspect.

Police were dispatched on Thursday to a domestic disturbance in the 700 block of Minden Street. A police spokesman on Saturday said he did not know the time of the call.

Police found Reynaldo Garcia Jr. with injuries to his upper torso and head. He was taken to John Peter Smith Hospital and pronounced dead in the emergency room about 9:30 a.m., the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office said.

A 35-year-old man was detained and admitted to a hospital for evaluation.

The medical examiner’s office had not released the cause of Reynaldo Garcia Jr.’s death Saturday night.
