Fort Worth 17-year-old accused in March death of man killed by shotgun blast
A 17-year-old from Fort Worth is accused of being involved in the shooting death of a man who was found last month in a Fort Worth parking lot, according to jail records and police.
An investigation into the fatal shooting of Stanley Charles Jackson III, 21, of Forest Hill, continued on Friday.
Nathaniel Fountain of Fort Worth was booked into jail on a murder charge Thursday afternoon, according to jail records.
Jackson was found dead by Fort Worth police officers in a parking lot in the 1000 block of Eagle Ridge Drive on March 25 after they were dispatched to a shots-fired call.
He died from a shotgun wound to his face, according to a ruling by officials at the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Police did not release any information on a motive for the shooting.
“They (homicide detectives) have informed us that this is still an active investigation,” said Officer Buddy Calzada, a police department spokesman, on Friday in an email. “Any details released right now could affect the case.”
Fountain had attended Eastern Hills High School, but he left the school in January 2019, according to Fort Worth school district records. It’s unknown where he may have gone to school after that.
Fountain was in the Tarrant County Jail on Friday in lieu of $75,000 bond.
