Woman, 20, dies after ATV crash in Arlington, two passengers injured, police say

A 20-year-old woman died late Friday after the all-terrain vehicle she was operating crashed in Arlington, police said.

Payton Fischer was with two passengers westbound on Melissa Dianne Drive when she lost control of the ATV about 10:45 p.m. and struck a curb, authorities said.

All three people were thrust from the ATV, and it rolled before it struck a house in the 7300 block of Vicari Drive, police said.

A 17-year-old girl suffered serious injuries and was taken to Medical City Arlington, police said. An 18-year-old woman was treated at the scene.

Fischer, of Addison, died of blunt force trauma of her head at Mansfield Methodist Hospital about an hour after the crash, the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office said.
