Man shot in south Fort Worth, authorities say; victim’s injuries not life-threatening

A man was shot Friday afternoon in a residential section of south Fort Worth, authorities said.

The victim was fired upon about 4:30 p.m. in the 5600 block of Odessa Avenue, police said.

The man’s injuries are serious, but not life-threatening, a MedStar spokesman said. He was taken to a hospital in an ambulance.

Police did not immediately release information about the assailant.
