Drive-by shooting leaves teen wounded in east Fort Worth apartment complex

A 16-year-old boy was shot in the arm in east Fort Worth during a drive-by shooting Thursday, according to police.

The teen was walking home alone to an apartment complex when a white Ford F-150 pulled up beside him, police said.

Four unknown men were inside of the pickup truck, and someone asked him to confirm his street name.

After the teen answered, the suspects opened fire. One bullet hit the teen in the left arm, police said.

The search for the suspects continued Thursday.

The injured teen was taken to a local hospital, according to a MedStar official.

The shooting was reported at 11:56 a.m. Thursday at the Hills apartments in the 5400 block of Boca Agua Drive in east Fort Worth.

Several patrol units were on the scene.

Police had not released any information on a motive for the shooting.
