A day before he had a court hearing, Fort Worth teen accused of capital murder

A Fort Worth teen accused of shooting a man to death a day before the suspect had a court hearing on unrelated cases was in custody Thursday, according to jail records.

Anthony Montae Hall, 19, was booked into the Fort Worth Jail on Wednesday on a capital murder charge.

Hall is accused of shooting to death 27-year-old Terry Tyrone Ross Jr. of White Settlement on March 5 in a Fort Worth apartment complex parking lot.

Ross was shot in the parking lot, but he was pronounced dead in the emergency room at John Peter Smith Hospital, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s website. He died from a gunshot wound to the chest.

Police have not released any information on a motive for the killing.

Hall had a court hearing on March 6 in Fort Worth on charges of robbery and stealing a car in Fort Worth, according to Tarrant County court records.

Patrol officers responded to the shooting call shortly after 11:30 a.m. on March 5 in the 3000 block of Lackland Road.

A caller told police that there was a wounded man in the back parking lot of the Oak Tree Apartments, according to a police call log. The victim had been shot and was barely breathing, according to the report.

Earlier this year, Hall had been charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle and robbery, according to court records. He’s accused of stealing a car in December and committing a holdup in January, both in Fort Worth.
