15-year-old, bystander shot in separate but related shootings in east Fort Worth

A 15-year-old and a bystander were shot in separate but related shootings on Saturday in east Fort Worth, police said.

Police responded to a shooting call at about 5:08 p.m. in the 3800 block of Waldorf Street near Lake Arlington. An unknown suspect shot out of a car and hit a bystander in the arm, Fort Worth Officer Jimmy Pollozani said.

While officers were responding, they received a call that there was another shooting about a block away at 3852 Stalcup Road, at the Buttercup Place Apartments.

A 15-year-old was shot in the arm by the same suspect, police said. Both victims were taken to the hospital and had wounds that were not life-threatening, Pollozani said.

Police had not found the suspect or suspects as of Sunday morning, but said they were possibly driving a blue Chevrolet Avalanche and a black Toyota Corolla. Detectives were investigating the shootings.
