Bullets, BB gun found at Arlington Heights High School in Fort Worth, authorities say
A box of bullets and a BB gun were found Friday on the campus of Arlington Heights High School in Fort Worth, authorities said.
The school, in the 4500 block of West Freeway, was placed in lockdown, said Clint Bond, a Fort Worth Independent School District spokesman.
School administrators and police implemented a metal detector check and searched the school after the discovery about noon. No gun was found.
There were no arrests Friday, police said.
“The lockdown was lifted as the class day ended,” Bond wrote in an email.
No injuries were reported, police said.
