2 people shot at west Fort Worth gas station; both victims will survive, police say

From outside a west Fort Worth gas station, an assailant opened fire Wednesday through a door and shot two people, according to a police report.

The victims were fired upon about 6 p.m. at the Texaco in the 2700 block of Las Vegas Trail, police said.

Michael Marshall, 47, suffered a non-life-threatening injury and was taken in an ambulance to a hospital, according to the report.

Lawrence Long, 51, was shot and drove himself to John Peter Smith Hospital, according to the report.

Police had not announced an arrest Thursday.
