North Texas woman faces murder charge after shooting husband in fight, police say

A Little Elm woman who police say fought with her husband and then killed him is facing a murder charge in the Feb. 12 slaying, according to Little Elm police.

Micyra Williams, 27, was booked into the Denton County Jail on Wednesday.

Authorities arrested Williams about 11 a.m. Wednesday after a warrant was issued for the Little Elm woman.

Williams is accused of shooting her husband, 31-year-old Caleb Pearson, in the head on the morning of Feb. 12.

Pearson was pronounced dead about 12:30 a.m. on Feb. 12 at the family’s home in the 2800 block of Quietwater Drive in Little Elm, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s website.

A fight broke out between Williams and Pearson at their home while four children were inside, Little Elm police said.

At some point, Williams is accused of shooting her husband. The children were not injured.

Williams was taken to a local hospital to be treated for injuries she suffered during the fight, Little Elm police said.

Williams remained in the Denton County Jail on Thursday, and no bail had been set.
