Man in critical condition after being shot in the face in Fort Worth, police say

A 25-year-old man was in critical condition after he was shot in the face in far east Fort Worth just after midnight Sunday, police said.

Fort Worth police responded to a shots fired call at the Wood Hollow Apartments at 13704 West Rim Drive at 12:37 a.m., Fort Worth Officer Daniel Segura said.

While police were investigating, they received another call that a man was at a hospital with a gunshot wound to his face. He said he was shot at the Wood Hollow Apartments, and someone had driven him to the hospital.

Witnesses told police that the man who was shot and at least two other men were inside the apartment when shots were fired from the back patio door. Police arrested several people at the apartment, but the shooting suspect had not been arrested as of Sunday afternoon, Segura said.

One of the witnesses drove the man to the hospital, where he was Care-Flited to a Dallas hospital. He was in critical condition Sunday.
