This west Fort Worth paint store was robbed Nov. 11 and again on Christmas Eve

On Nov. 8, someone described as a skinny man walked in a west Fort Worth Sherwin Williams paint store and waved a gun, according to a police report.

The suspect, who was in his 30s and wearing a blue sweater and blue pants, took nearly $500 from the store in tools and equipment and more than $650 in cash, and then ran outside and left in an unknown vehicle.

Nearly two months passed before the store, in the 6100 block of Westcreek Drive, was the scene of a second robbery.

On Christmas Eve, one employee told police that a man came into the store wearing a black jacket, a blue hoodie and red tennis shoes. He laid a gun on the counter, then picked it up and pointed it at him, the employee told police.

The suspect then asked for money and took about $300 in cash. After getting the cash, the suspect left on foot behind the store, a police report said.

The robberies occurred at 9:25 a.m. Nov. 11 and 7:33 a.m. Tuesday. One store employee told police that he believes the Sherwin Williams was robbed twice by the same suspect.

But one suspect was described as being a white man and another suspect description says the robber is an African-American man, according to police documents. Police are investigating.
