Boy dies after shooting at Haltom City apartment complex, authorities say

A boy died Sunday after he was shot at a Haltom City apartment complex, police said.

The victim was fired upon about 2 p.m. at the Rio Vista complex in the 6300 block of Baker Boulevard, police said.

Police found the boy in the north parking lot.

The victim, whose name and age authorities have not released because he was a juvenile, was taken to North Hills Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police had not announced an arrest or any suspects as of Sunday night. They said they had interviewed several witnesses and were following up on leads.

A motive for the homicide had not been determined, police said.
