Man slain at Fort Worth apartment; resident reported burglary underway before shooting
A man was shot to death Friday afternoon at a Fort Worth apartment complex in an encounter that appears to also have involved a burglary.
The man was shot at about 2 p.m. during a struggle at the Casa Villa apartments in the 6000 block of Oakway Lane in east Fort Worth, police said.
The man was taken to a hospital and died there, police said.
Police Homicide Unit detectives were investigating Friday.
The call was reported to police as a burglary in progress, according to a police call log.
