Man charged with murder in two 1980s California killings has ties to Fort Worth
A man who was charged last month with murder in the deaths of two women in Southern California in the 1980s has ties to Fort Worth, and law enforcement authorities are hoping to hear from people familiar with him from his time in North Texas.
Horace Vaultz Jr., 64, was connected to the cold-case killings through genealogy, the Los Angeles Times reported.
Vaultz was arrested and charged in November with the 1986 killing of Mary Duggan in Burbank and the 1981 killing of Selena Keough in Montclair, the newspaper reported.
Duggan and Keough were strangled and sexually assaulted, the Times reported.
Vaultz has connections to Justin, Texas, and Fort Worth dating back to 2012, the Fort Worth Police Department said Thursday. He lived in the 1900 block of Stonehill Drive in Justin, according to public records.
Someone who recognizes Vaultz or has had an interaction with him should call Detective Aaron Kay at 818-238-3243.
