Teen identified as homicide victim shot at his east Fort Worth home, authorities say

A man died Tuesday night at a hospital after he was shot at his east Fort Worth home, authorities said.

Alejandro Pina, 18, was shot in the torso about 6:30 p.m. in the 4300 block of Vinson Street, authorities said.

Pina was pronounced dead at John Peter Smith Hospital about an hour and a half after he was shot, the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office reported.

Fort Worth police had not announced an assailant’s arrest or a motive as of Wednesday night. Homicide detectives were investigating the killing.

Pina’s brother-in-law reported that the victim had been shot, a police spokesman said.
