18-year-old faces manslaughter charge in shooting death of friend in Fort Worth home

An 18-year-old was booked into jail Wednesday and accused in the shooting death of another teen last month at a Fort Worth home.

Michael McClenny faces a charge of manslaughter in the shooting death of 18-year-old Dalton Bailey on Nov. 23 in the 5900 block of Misty Breeze Drive.

McClenny and Bailey were friends, Fort Worth police said.

Bailey died after his friend accidentally shot him in the head, Fort Worth police have said.

Fort Worth police responded to the shooting call on the night of Nov. 23 at McClenny’s home on Misty Breeze Drive.

McClenny was booked into the Fort Worth Jail at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, according to jail records. He has since been moved to the Tarrant County Jail in Fort Worth. Bail has not been set.

Fort Worth police have not provided any other details about the shooting.
