A man was flown to a Dallas hospital in serious condition Saturday night after being shot in Arlington, police say.

Officers were sent to the 400 block of Truman Street after receiving reports of shots fired. Officers found shell casings at a house in the area but no one was there, Tim Ciesco with the Arlington Police Department said.

Shortly afterward, a 45-year-old man showed up at a local hospital with a gunshot wound. Police believe he is connected to the shooting.

The man who was flown by helicopter to a Dallas hospital had surgery there. Ciesco said they did not know his current condition, but the man was expected to survive.

The investigation into the shooting was ongoing, and police had not identified a suspect as of Sunday afternoon.
