Man killed in overnight hit-and-run in Arlington, police say
A 29-year-old man was found dead on the shoulder of an Arlington road early Friday morning after police said he was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the man as Jonathan Livermore on Sunday.
Officers responded about 2:30 a.m. to the 3500 block of East Division Street, where a man was lying on the north shoulder, police said. The department believes the man was hit by a vehicle traveling eastbound on the street that failed to stop and continued on.
Investigators swept the scene for four hours, police said, and will try to see if any businesses in the area have surveillance video that captured the hit-and-run.
No vehicles of interest have been identified, police said.
Anyone with information on the incident is encouraged to call Investigator Joe Shipp at 817-575-8602 or the Tarrant County Crime Stoppers at 817-469-TIPS, where callers can remain anonymous.
