More filming for Taylor Sheridan’s new show “Frisco King,” a Paramount+ television series, is coming to Southlake April 29 through May 1 near the west side of the city near Players Circle.

The eight episode series stars Samuel L. Jackson as Russell Lee Washington Jr., a hitman, who meets “Tulsa Kings” Sylvester Stallone’s character Dwight Manfredi in prison. Jackson appeared in the last episodes of “Tulsa Kings” third season.

The city said from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 29. traffic will be paused intermittently along W. Southlake Boulevard between Randol Mill Avenue, Davis Boulevard and Peytonville Avenue.

Parts of Players Circle will be closed April 29 through May 1 and the city and Southlake police are working together on traffic management to and limit disruptions.

“If you’re traveling through the area, plan for minor delays and consider alternate routes when possible,” the Southlake Department of Public Safety said in a social media post.

Previously filming took place at Southlake Town Center on April 22 and road closures took place along E. Southlake Boulevard between Central and Carroll avenues, as well as parts of State Street and Fountain Place within the Southlake Town Square.

The series recently filmed inside the Tarrant County Commissioners Courthouse and other filming is taking place in Dallas, Frisco and Plano.

On April 22 filming also took place at the newly renovated Keller Sports Park.

“We’re proud to showcase our community and facilities, and we look forward to welcoming them back to Keller in the days and weeks ahead as filming continues on this exciting new project. Stay tuned,” Keller mayor Armin Mizani said in a Facebook post.
