A 51-year-old man has died after a motor vehicle accident where his work truck collided into the side of a Hurst fire station.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the man as Michael Dixon of North Richland Hills. Dixon’s cause of death was ruled to be blunt force injuries from an accident.

The crash occurred around 11 a.m. Tuesday. Dixon’s vehicle struck the side of Hurst Fire Station #1, located at 2100 Precinct Line Road, police said. No one else was injured.

Dixon died at a hospital less than an hour after the crash, according to the medical examiner’s office.

Police said they believe a medical condition may have been a factor in the one-vehicle accident, but no further details were available Friday.
