Rivas died from blunt-force trauma to the chest and abdomen due to a motor vehicle collision with entrapment, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office.

Three other passenger vehicles and a commercial vehicle were also involved in the wreck, but none of the occupants in the other vehicles were seriously injured and no one else was taken to the hospital, police said.

Authorities are still conducting an investigation into the crash, police said.
