2 injured in jet ski accident on Grapevine Lake, officials say
Two people were injured late Wednesday afternoon in a jet ski accident on Grapevine Lake in Flower Mound, officials said.
Brandon Barth, Flower Mound deputy fire chief, said someone reported the incident about 4:05 p.m. The dive team from the Grapevine Fire Department also responded.
The two individuals were quickly rescued from the water and taken to Rockledge Park, Barth said. They were then taken to a local hospital with apparently non-life-threatening injuries.
Three personal water craft were involved in the accident, according to Barth. Officials are still investigating the cause.
The Flower Mound Fire Department will have a boat on the lake over the Fourth of July weekend, Barth said. The city’s police department will be doing safety checks in the area as well.
