Fort Worth man arrested after leading state troopers on a pursuit in Parker County
A Fort Worth man is in custody after fleeing from state troopers Tuesday morning in Parker County, officials said.
State troopers tried to stop a blue Dodge Dart for a traffic violation about 9 a.m., according to a Texas Department of Public Safety news release. When the vehicle sped away instead, the troopers pursued the Dodge.
The suspect’s vehicle entered a closed roadway on Interstate 20 at the 420 exit near Aledo and struck an 18-wheeler, the release states. The Dodge became disabled, and the troopers arrested the driver.
The 39-year-old suspect has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, resisting arrest and evading arrest with a vehicle, according to the release. He’s currently in the Parker County Jail. DPS officials identified him as Esias Henry of Fort Worth.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing, according to the release.
