A 20-year-old man died in the hospital early Friday morning after his vehicle was struck by a TEXRail train on Wednesday between the Northside and Mercantile Center stations.

The man, Harrison William Bradford, died after midnight at Fort Worth’s John Peter Smith Hospital, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Crews initially responded to the crash about 11 a.m. Wednesday in the 3800 block of North Sylvania Avenue near East Long Avenue.

Rail infrastructure was damaged in the crash and took about six or more hours to repair, Trinity Metro officials said on Wednesday. Three trains were either severely delayed or had to suspend service due to the crash.
