A man has died and a woman is injured after the two were electrocuted in the backyard of a Benbrook home, according to the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were dispatched to the 9100 block of Benview Court around 1:10 p.m. Friday, according to a statement. They found that the man and woman had come into contact with a power source and were electrocuted.

The two were taken to a hospital to be treated. The man was seriously hurt and died at the hospital; the woman had minor injuries, officials said.

Oncor crews have shut off the power to the property, and Tarrant County criminal investigators are looking into how the man and woman came into contact with the power source.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will identify the dead man.
