Restaurant closed, rodents found in latest Tarrant County health inspections
One Tarrant County restaurant was closed and another was noted to have issues with rodents in the latest round of county health inspections.
The reports compiled by the Star-Telegram include health violations from Aug. 3-9 and the results of 108 inspections.
Tarrant County’s restaurant inspections are scored on a 100-point scale: A score of 100 is considered perfect and a score of 70 is considered extremely poor. Tarrant County Public Health inspects and scores all restaurants in Tarrant County except for those located in the cities of Fort Worth, Arlington, Euless and North Richland Hills.
Momo House LLC, 549 Wildriver Trail near Fort Worth, had a score of 82. The restaurant was temporarily closed because of issues with running water at its sinks, proper hot water temperature, improper refrigeration temperatures and unclean surfaces, according to the inspection report. The location passed its follow-up inspection.
Lina Street Food, 2208 Central Drive in Bedford, had a score of 86. Inspectors observed rodent droppings on top of dry goods storage boxes, as well as a bag of flour and a box of paper towels that appeared to have been chewed through. An initial pest control treatment had been administered when inspectors returned for a follow-up.
Two restaurants had low scores in this round of inspections:
- Bad Azz Burrito Company, 1200 S. Blue Mound Road in Saginaw, had a score of 76.
- Maki Of Japan, 3000 Grapevine Mills Parkway in Grapevine, had a score of 78.
