Carroll ISD employee accused of assaulting pregnant woman, placed on leave

A Carroll Independent School District teacher and coach was placed on administrative leave after he was arrested in connection with a family assault incident, police said.

A Southlake Carroll school district employee was placed on administrative leave after he was arrested in a domestic violence incident involving a pregnant woman in North Richland Hills, officials said.

The teacher, 27-year-old Jake Thomas Quinn, was arrested on a complaint of assault of a pregnant person, according to North Richland Hills police, Star Telegram media partner WFAA-TV reported.

A relative reported to police on June 9 that the assault that happened in late April or early May in the 7300 block of Post Oak Drive in North Richland Hills and Quinn was arrested June 19, WFAA reported.

Quinn was booked at the Tarrant County Jail, with bond set at $10,000, according to court records. He later posted bail and was released, jail records state.

In an email sent to families of students at Carroll High School and Carroll Senior High School, Carroll ISD officials said they had been made aware of a recent arrest involving an employee. Quinn has been placed on administrative leave while the investigation is pending, according to the statement.

According to the district’s website, Quinn is a math teacher and assistant football coach at Carroll Senior High School.

The arrest does not involve any Southlake Carroll ISD students, other staff or district facilities, according to the statement.

“The safety and well-being of our Dragons always remains our top priority,” the school district’s statement said.
