2 restaurants closed, sewage issues found in latest Plano health inspections
Two Plano restaurants were closed and two others were noted to have issues with sewage and standing water, according to a report from the city’s latest round of health inspections.
The report contains data from March 30 through April 5 and 69 inspections.
Plano’s restaurant inspections function on a 100-point system: 100 points is considered a perfect score and 70 is considered extremely poor.
TK’s Chinese Cuisine, 3829 W. Spring Creek Parkway, had a score of 61 and was ordered to close until approval is obtained in writing from the health department, according to the report.
The restaurant was noted to have issues with cross-contamination, storing food on the floor and usage of unclean equipment, according to the report.
Two other restaurants were closed because of issues with sewage and standing water:
- Jack In The Box, 905 Legacy Drive, had a score of 94. Inspectors observed standing water in the employee break room and issues with hot water in handwashing sinks.
- Subway #6705, 2400 K Ave., was noted to have wastewater overflowing from a drain that connects to an above-ground grease trap.
Nineteen restaurants underwent follow-up inspections.
