Man arrested in Oklahoma in hit-and-run that killed woman in Haltom City
An Edgecliff Village man was arrested in Oklahoma on Tuesday in a hit-and-run crash that killed a 54-year-old woman, Haltom City police said.
Adrian Anthony Rodriguez, 20, was arrested in Medford, Oklahoma, and charged with collision involving death in connection to the crash.
About 4 a.m. April 5, Haltom City police and fire crews responded to a call about a woman lying unresponsive in the roadway near Northeast 28th Street and Field Street, police said.
Crews began performing lifesaving measures on the woman, identified as 54-year-old Loralea Fox, according to a news release.
Fox was pronounced dead at 4:18 a.m., police said.
Investigators determined Fox had been walking west when she was hit from behind by a passenger truck, and driver left the scene without rendering aid, according to the release.
Detectives identified Rodriguez as the suspect and seized the truck, which is being held as evidence, police said.
