1 person dies after vehicle hits utility pole and rolls over on FM 1187, sheriff says

One person was killed when a vehicle crashed on Farm Road 1187 in Tarrant County, the sheriff’s office said in a news release.

Deputies were dispatched around 4:50 p.m. Friday, April 4 to the 2900 block of FM 1187 at Gipson Manor Court near Crowley. Upon arrival they found a single vehicle left the roadway, hit a utility pole and rolled over, officials said.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The highway was shut down but has since reopened, according to the release.

The Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Investigations Unit is working to determine the cause of the crash, officials said.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death and release the victim’s name after next of kin is notified.
