One dead in crash on eastbound I-20 in Grand Prairie on Saturday morning, police say

One person died in a multi-vehicle crash on eastbound Interstate 20 near Carrier Parkway on Saturday morning, officials with the Grand Prairie Police Department said.

At around 11:30 a.m., a Dodge traveling east collided with a Ford truck, which then struck a Hyundai vehicle, officials said.

The driver of the Dodge was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead, officials said. The drivers of the Hyundai and Ford were not injured.

Witnesses told police that the driver of the Dodge had been traveling at a high rate of speed before the collision, officials said.

The dead person will be identified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office once next of kin have been notified.
