One Fort Worth restaurant was closed and roaches were found at two others during the latest round of city health inspections, according to an inspection report compiled by the Star-Telegram.

The report contains data from one week and 154 inspections.

Fort Worth’s restaurant inspections function on a demerit system: Zero demerits is considered a perfect score. Restaurants with over 30 demerits are required to fix the worst issues immediately and remedy the rest within 48 hours.

Bukanas Sports Bar, located at 3709 Mansfield Highway in Forest Hill, was closed due to a lack of hot water in the kitchen area. The inspector noted that the restaurant was not currently in use.

Two restaurants were cited for issues with roaches:

  1. Asian Nights Bar, located at 2905 North Beach Street in Fort Worth, had a score of 23
  2. Kintaro Ramen, located at 2801 West 7th Street in Fort Worth, had a score of 16

No restaurant scored over 30 demerits in this round of inspections, according to the report.

El Original Hernandez, located at 1617 Northwest 25th Street in Fort Worth, had a score of 17 and was noted to have repeat violations, according to the report. The restaurant faces citation or legal action if violations continue.
