The Capital Grille, a chain of fine dining restaurants, will open a Southlake location next year, according to Ranger Retail Partners, a Dallas-based company that specializes in retail and restaurant tenant representation in the U.S.

“The Capital Grille has been steadily growing its presence throughout the metroplex, so the vibrant retail culture of Southlake is the perfect next step for them,” said Geoff Henrion, a founding partner of Ranger Retail. “The Capital Grille is a stately setting for a nationally renowned dining experience.”

Florida-based Darden Restaurants owns The Capital Grille and Olive Garden, and earlier this year announced it had bought Ruth [Fertel’s] Chris Steak House for $715 million.

A parking dispute in April tabled an economic agreement between Capital Grille Holdings and Southlake, the Star-Telegram previously reported. The disagreement was over 20 parking spaces with neighboring restaurant Calabrese.

The Capital Grille is renovating a 9,300-square-foot portion of a building on the southeast corner of the Texas 114 frontage road and North Carroll Avenue in the Carroll Pointe development. The Southlake restaurant is the fourth location in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex for the fine dining establishment. It has restaurants in Fort Worth at 800 Main St., Dallas at 500 Crescent Ct. and Plano at 7300 Dallas Parkway.

“Long before our steaks meet the grill, they are meticulously dry aged on premises for 18 – 24 days to achieve incomparable flavor and texture. Then, each is hand-carved by our in-house butchers to exacting standards.,” according to the Capital Grille website.
