When the State Fair of Texas kicks off this weekend, attendees can expect hot and dry weather.

The high for the rest of this week and weekend will hover in the low to mid-90’s, said Matt Stalley, meteorologist at the National Weather Service’s Fort Worth office.

For those attending the state fair on Friday, expect a high around 96 degrees. Saturday and Sunday’s high will be 94 degrees, and temperatures early next week will track about the same.

Fairgoers can expect clear skies over the weekend.

“I guess if you’re gonna be outdoors at least on the plus side, there’s no rain chances,” Stalley said.

The State Fair of Texas kicks off on Friday and lasts until Oct. 22 at Dallas’ Fair Park.
