Multi-million dollar Texas Lottery jackpot ticket sold in Grapevine
Someone in or around Grapevine is walking around with a very expensive Texas Lottery ticket.
A jackpot-winning ticket worth about $6.75 million was purchased on Saturday at Grapevine Market, located at 1216 W. Northwest Highway. It’s the state’s third Lotto Texas Jackpot winner in 2022.
The $6.75 million total is an estimation of an annuitized payment of the winnings.
The Quick Pick ticket matched all six of the numbers drawn (4-14-37-39-51-52). The cash value option was selected at the time of purchase and the claimant will receive $5,026,433.26 before taxes.
The prize has yet to be claimed. The winner has 180 days from the draw date to claim the prize.
“If you have the winning ticket, we encourage you to sign the ticket, put it in a safe place, seek financial and legal advice, and call the Texas Lottery to schedule an appointment to claim the prize,” Texas Lottery executive director Gary Grief said in a release.
Along with the jackpot prize purchased in Grapevine, more than 47,000 Lotto Texas tickets were good for lower-tier prizes ranging from $2 to $13,340 in the same drawing.
The next Lotto Texas jackpot drawing tonight (March 7) resets to an estimated annuitized $5 million. Drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:12 p.m. CT. For $1 more per Play, a player can select the Extra! add-on feature for a chance to win up to $10,000 more on non-jackpot prizes.
