North Texas resident claims lottery jackpot of more than $16 million

A resident of Highland Village claimed a $16.25 million Texas Lottery jackpot prize on Jan. 1.

The cash value is $12,660,841.60 before taxes. The winner elected to remain anonymous.

The winning ticket was purchased at RaceTrac No. 375 at 1809 Justin Road in Flower Mound. The ticket matched all six of the numbers drawn (1-16-19-39-42-46).

The next Lotto Texas drawing will be held tonight (Jan. 12). The advertised jackpot prize for the drawing is set at an estimated annuitized $6 million.

Lotto Texas is played by picking six numbers from 1 to 54 and offers multimillion-dollar jackpots.

Drawings are every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:12 p.m. CT. For $1 more per play, a player can select the Extra! add-on feature and win up to $10,000 more on non-jackpot prizes.
