About 15 residents were displaced because of damage caused by a fire on Tuesday at a two-story apartment building in Arlington, authorities said.

No civilian or firefighter injuries were reported.

The fire erupted about 11:30 p.m. at the Willow II Apartments in the 4000 block of Randy Drive, according to Arlington Fire Department spokesperson Juan Mata.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Smoke came from the building’s roofline.

Firefighters brought the blaze under control about 12:30 a.m., Mata said.

The American Red Cross assisted the residents who were affected, and the property’s management helped to coordinate temporary relocation, Mata said.

A second and third alarm were requested to bring additional firefighters to the scene.
