A 69-year-old man was killed and two people injured Tuesday night in a wrong-way crash in east Arlington.

Police officers were called to the 2700 block of East Park Row Drive near Texas 360 shortly after 11:15 p.m. A Dodge Ram heading westbound in the eastbound lanes had hit a GMC Acadia head-on, according to police.

The Dodge Ram’s driver was pinned inside his pickup and died at the scene. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner identified him as Alvin Earl Wells.

The Acadia’s driver and passenger were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Their injuries aren’t believed to be life threatening, police said.

Crash investigators are looking into the factors surrounding the fatal accident. They suspect alcohol may have been involved, according to police, and believe the Ram’s driver wasn’t wearing a seat belt.
