A man died after his SUV crashed into a tree and rolled over in Arlington, police said in a news release Tuesday.

At around 9:40 a.m. Tuesday, Arlington police responded to a single-vehicle accident in the 500 block of Southmoor Drive involving a 2000 Chevrolet Blazer that had rolled over onto its side.

According to the preliminary investigation, the driver was traveling eastbound when he veered off the roadway and hit a tree in the front yard of a home, causing the SUV to flip over.

The driver, who was the only person in the vehicle, was not wearing a seat belt, according to police. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A family member arrived at the scene and told officers that the accident may have been medically-related.

The identity of the driver was not released by police.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the official cause and manner of death.
