Teen motorcyclist dies, other driver injured in Arlington car crash, police say
A motorcyclist died in Arlington after crashing into an SUV Friday, according to the Arlington Police Department.
On Friday at around 3:45 p.m., police responded to a car crash in the 2100 block of West Bardin Road.
Investigators believe a 2008 Suzuki GSX motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Bardin Road while a 2007 Mercury Mariner SUV was traveling in the westbound lanes. As the Mercury Mariner made a left hand turn onto 4700 Racquet Club Drive, the motorcycle struck the SUV.
The driver of the motorcycle was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead from his injuries.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office has identified him as 19-year-old Christopher James Brown from Fort Worth.
The driver of the Mercury Mariner SUV was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Based on evidence at the scene, investigators have not ruled out speed as a factor in the crash.
The investigation is ongoing. There are no charges currently pending.
